Early childhood educators are aware of the need for children to experience the process of learning as well as the content. Much research and discussion has focused recently on the development of thinking skills. Some argue that by teaching the "basics," we are providing children with concepts but not with the ability to use them in thought patterns. Children are learning about things, but not how to take that information and apply it usefully in their lives. Children need to experience the process of observing, classifying, and recording. These are skills that must be learned through experience; they can't be taught at an intellectual level. What's Wrong? is a collection of creative worksheet formats especially designed to provide children with these experiences. The book also contains a number of game formats and bulletin board ideas to reinforce thinking skills.
A few red marks on corner of pages, but they do not affect the content (see pictures for example)
