January 01 - Closed
January 05 - Book Club 6pm - 7pm: We’re kicking off the first book club book of the year, Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel, and would love for you to join us! The Book Club is now full.
January 06- Keepers Makers Night 5pm - 8pm: Keeper’s Maker Night is a relaxed, come-as-you-are crafting evening at Story Keepers Books. Bring a project you’re working on or try something new, enjoy good conversation, and spend a creative night in a cozy, bookish space.
January 11- Open Mic Poetry Night 5pm - 7pm: Bring your own work to share, or read a favorite piece by another writer, or simply come to enjoy an evening of creativity and community.
January 17- Rotary Club Cozy Clothing Drive 12pm - 8pm: Join us for our second annual community making event, where we’ll create hats, scarves, and gloves for those in need. This special day inspired our Keeper’s Maker Night, and all completed items will be donated to the Rotary Club’s Cozy Clothing Drive.
January 18- Junk Journal Club 5pm - 7pm: Junk Journal Club is a relaxed, creative gathering for anyone who loves paper, collage, and storytelling through art. Whether you’re brand new to junk journaling or have been creating for years, this club offers space to experiment, share ideas, and work at your own pace in a cozy, book-filled setting.
Registration is required, space is limited, and the cost to participate is $20. Bring your own journal or notebook.

January 21- West Allis Soup Crawl 5:30pm - 7:30pm: As part of the West Allis Soup Crawl, we’ll be hosting a local restaurant in the shop serving a featured soup for crawl participants. Stop by during the event to enjoy a warm bite, browse the store, and take part in this community-wide celebration of local food and small businesses.

January 24- Author Event Lorisa Wiedenheft 2pm - 5pm: Join us for an author event with Lorisa Weidenheft, a YA author and educator whose novel-in-verse The Oasis explores themes of grief, resilience, and hope. Now pursuing her dream career as a children’s author, Lorisa will be in the shop to meet readers, share about her work, and sign books.
